David Kempston

David Kempston has spent over 30 years as a litigator—primarily handling workers compensation claims. He has been voted a Super Lawyer every year since 2000. He frequently lectures on the MN Worker’s Compensation Statute. In 2017 he was awarded Anoka County Lawyer of the Year by the Anoka County Bar Association.  In 2020, David was inducted as a Fellow in The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, a national entity established to honor those attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the practice of workers’ compensation. He has written two books, published through Amazon, That’s Why They Call it Practicing Law (2017) and Lessons Learned on the Run (2020). And since 2021, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at The University of St. Thomas School of Law. When not practicing law, David enjoys running, fishing, walking his dog, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
